Meet Michigan Teacher Certification Requirements

The Michigan Department of Education (MDE) requires that educators complete 150 approved professional learning hours for all MDE-issued Michigan teaching certificate and license renewals. These hours may be obtained by completing college credits, SCECHs, or certain approved professional development activities.

Learners Edge has partnered with regionally accredited universities and colleges to provide online continuing education courses to meet SCECH requirements. Through these partnerships, we are able to provide official transcripts, letter grades and graduate credit for successfully completed courses.
